The 2012 Tour Down Under has begun with hot weather and strong winds. Andrè Greipel has won Stage 1 with a photo finish after winning the Classic on Sunday night. However, just before the finish there was a crash involving 20 cyclists. Not the best start to the TDU – but a good start for Greipel.
