Stage 4 – Santos Tour Down Under 2012 – Results

Bupa Stage 4 was Norwood to Tanunda. It wasn’t good for Andre Greipel and definitely has no chance of catching up the 7 to 8 minutes he lost today. Oscar Freire (KAT) won the stage with a sprint finish. Martin Kohler (BMC) put on the Ochre Jersey. Edvald Boasson Hagen (SKY) has the Jayco Sprint Jersey and Rohan Dennis (UNI) has the Skoda Mountain Jersey. It will be interesting to see how these riders go in the two remaining stages! Unfortunately I wasn’t at Stage 4 because I was riding with my Melbourne friends to Willunga. Yes, I know we went a day before the race but we wanted to do the ride without having to worry about thousands of spectators. For more information on the race click here.

Also you may wonder why the photo is a Rapha Coffee Machine. I wasn’t at the start, so I couldn’t take photos… So I took this substitute!

Stage 3 – Santos Tour Down Under 2012 – Results & Photos

I know this post is a day late! However, I couldn’t just leave it out. Stage 3 started in Unley at 11am, it was buzzing with people and sunny weather. There was a three Once again, Greipel won the stage with a sprint to the line putting back in the Ochre Jersey (and the Jayco Sprint Jersey) and Thomas De Gendt (Vacansoleil) grabbed Skoda Mountain and Jayco Sprint points. Also, he has the Skoda Polka Dot Jersey 2 points above Will Clarke. I was lucky enough to be at Luna Rosso’s café (Unley at the start) and see a few cyclists. Will Clarke went to the loo, Renshaw was talking to his family and Rabobank and Euskaltel were there too. For more information on the race click here.
